Cycling in and around Breda
Breda’s surroundings are beautiful; lovely meadows, green forests and many villages with rich histories. Would you like to see where Van Gogh found the inspiration for several of his masterpieces? Or maybe the places reminding you of the Nassau family? Breda is the perfect city for a cycling trip! Following specially planned routes, it’s easy to cycle past all highlights and set eyes on the most beautiful places. A relaxing and active day out!
Hiking in the Mastbos
Are you a real hiker? The area around Breda is great for you. In the Mastbos there are several themed walks. Did you bring the dog? Try walking the ‘sniffing-route’. Craving nature? Or culture? You can choose from the ‘nature-experience’ route (7.3 km) or the historical route (8.3 km). There is something for everybody! Swimming pool Sonsbeeck
Whether it’s spring, summer, autumn or winter, diving into a pool can be a great experience. Are you a true sports enthusiast? There are many intensive workouts organized here, like aqua jogging or aqua boot camp. Prefer something a little more relaxing? Why not go for a leisurely swim or try swimming lanes. There are several lanes to suit anybody’s wishes; all ages are welcome here!

Ever heard of bouldering? No? This sport has gained tremendously in popularity in recent years. Bouldering is the climbing of short routes, otherwise known as boulders. No protection materials or ropes are required, just a big crash pad below you. Sounds like the perfect challenge for a real daredevil! This is what they offer at Boulderhal Bruut in Breda. In this climbing hall you’ll train your entire body and every climb is like solving a puzzle. Both beginners and advanced climbers can boulder besides each other.

Bowling and Party Centre Breda
Do you have it in you to bowl a strike? Test your bowling skills on one of 16 fully automated lanes. Furthermore, you’ll have the possibility to go disco bowling or have dinner in the restaurant. Try the three-course meal for €17,50 each or choose one of the other offers: stone grilling or a (fish) gourmet with or without an hour of bowling. You’ll have a great evening here for sure!
Multiple in and outdoor activities in one place: it almost sounds too good to be true. It isn’t in our city! At Lot66 you’ll find plenty of different activities like go-kart racing, bowling, climbing, laser tagging and sumo wrestling. A great place for an active children’s party, but also just to have a fun day out with friends.
Pier15 Skate park
Pier15 is Breda’s indoor skate park for skateboarding and inline skating. Beside, Pier15 features a space for events, an outside seating area and a bar that frequently hosts gigs with live music. Not sure whether you’re ready to commit to being a skater? If you don’t have your own gear they also rent out everything you need.
Golf course De Haenen
Always wanted to have a go at playing golf? Or improve your existing golfing skills? Try the challenge and enjoy the 18 holes that De Haenen golf course has to offer. Because the course is equipped with ponds, puddles and difficult bunkers, both the beginner and the advanced golfer are challenged here. The golf course is situated on a public estate: the beautiful landscape, artworks and rich history make this golf course unique. Besides, the park is divided into four different vibes, certainly making things interesting!

Cross Jumps Breda
A room filled with trampolines where you can jump until it starts to feel as though you’re weightless. Cross Jumps is a paradise, with many different zones. Amongst other things, you’ll find a big trampoline field, a green zone to try out different jumps and tricks and an air track, where gymnasts and free runners can learn tricks. Furthermore, there’s an extra big trampoline, the supertramp, where you can let yourself go completely!
Kunstijsbaan (artificial ice-skating rink)
Are you waiting all year to get your ice skates back on? Between the months of October and March, you can go to Optisport’s artificial ice-skating rink for some fun on the ice. Its 400-meter ice track and 30 x 60 meter rink mean there’s plenty of space for leisurely ice-skating as well as competitive skating at Kunstijsbaan Breda. People of all ages can enjoy their time on the ice here.
